Returning to Brooklyn for the first time since his trade to the Dallas Mavericks a year
ago, Kyrie Irving took the court against the Nets with a notable debut – his first signature
shoe collaboration with Anta, the Kai 1.
Highlighted in the image is the “Artist on Court” colorway of the Anta Kai 1, anticipated
for a spring release. While specific technical details about Irving’s new signature model
are currently under wraps, the sneaker’s design echoes elements of his previous Nike
signature line. The shoe features a mid-cut construction on the upper, coupled with a
midfoot strap for added lockdown. Irving’s distinctive logo graces the tongue,
complemented by the Anta logo on the midsole.
Before revealing the shoe last February 6, Irving had previously sported the Anta Shock
Wave 5 model last season and discreetly laced up a prototype version of the Kai 1
earlier this year. Making an impactful return to the court in the Kai 1, Irving notched an
impressive 36 points and contributed five assists.
As of now, specific release details for the Anta Kai 1 remain elusive. Stay tuned to
Complex Sneakers for forthcoming official updates.
