Unleash the Stars: Nike Air Foamposite One Retro ‘Galaxy’ Set to Drop in 2024

One of the most beloved Foamposites is making a comeback! The iconic “Galaxy” Nike Air Foamposite One is set to hit retail stores in the spring of 2024, according to sneaker insider @zSneakerheadz. First released in 2012 as part of a space-themed collection during NBA All-Star Weekend in Orlando, the “Galaxy” Foamposite caused nationwide chaos, leading to cancelled releases and even a famous car-for-sneakers trade. Despite its tumultuous launch, the shoe has remained a fan favorite and a sneaker icon over the last decade, inspiring countless homages in the streetwear scene.

Featuring a glow-in-the-dark sole, a “remove before flight” hangtag, and a vibrant blue and purple starry design, the original “Galaxy” Foamposite set the standard for futuristic sneaker design. Although an “Alternate Galaxy” colorway was introduced in 2018, the original has never been retroed – until now. While no photos of the 2024 edition have surfaced yet, zSneakerheadz’s announcement suggests that it will stay true to the original design. Get ready for the comeback of the decade!
