According to industry sources, Bode, the innovative menswear brand renowned for its creative use of household materials, is partnering with Nike on a new footwear and apparel collection. The highly-anticipated Bode x Nike collaboration will feature two exclusive colorways of the Astro Grabber, a classic Nike shoe from the 1970s that has never been reissued.
The Astro Grabber, a football shoe designed by Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman, was originally intended for astroturf play and was famously worn by NFL Hall of Famer Dan Fouts. The Bode x Nike version of the shoe is set to be released as part of Nike’s Holiday 2023 collection, with a potential launch date towards the end of 2023 or early 2024.
Although Nike has never retroed the Astro Grabber before, sneaker fans may remember the Air Jordan 1 Low that was released in 2020 with a colorway reminiscent of the original Astro Grabber.
Neither Nike nor Bode have commented on the upcoming collaboration, but fans are eagerly anticipating the unique and fashion-forward designs that will surely emerge from this exciting partnership. Stay tuned for more details on this highly anticipated release.
